Winter & Indoor Track & Field Season

2026–2027

Welcome to the Mustangs Fam!

Our Winter & Indoor Track & Field Season runs from November 2026- February 2027, helping athletes build speed, strength, and confidence while gaining valuable competition experience.

Winter and indoor track is the perfect way to prepare for outdoor season! Since California has limited access to indoor tracks, we want our athletes to experience indoor competition before reaching the collegiate level.

We proudly serve families throughout the Temecula Valley, Kern County, and Coachella Valley.

• Ages: 10 and up

• Limited spots available!

• High School Athletes: Eligible athletes may compete at the California Winter Championships at Arcadia High School on February 4, 2027. Please confirm details with your coach.

• Please Note: This is a competitive track and field season, not a practice-only squad. Athletes are expected to participate in scheduled meets as part of their season commitment.

SEASON AT A GLANCE

• Season: November 2026 – February 2027

• Season Registration Fee: $150 ($10 team snap fee)

• Meet Schedule: Six meets

• Indoor Track Experience: Two travel meets at indoor track facilities

• Meet Entry Fees: Typically $12–$15 per meet, paid separately

• Eligible Ages: 10 and older

• Service Areas: Temecula Valley, Kern County, and Coachella Valley

Meet entry fees and travel expenses are not included in the season registration fee.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Tentative Weekly Schedule

• Tuesdays: 6:00–7:00 PM

• Thursdays: 6:00–7:00 PM

Practice locations and schedules may vary by branch and are subject to change. Coaches will communicate final details and any updates through TeamSnap.

USATF Membership — Required

Athletes must have a current USATF membership. Families are responsible for completing the athlete's registration through the official USATF website & attaching it to the athletic.net athlete profile.

MEET FEES & TRAVEL INFORMATION

Local California Meets

• Entry fees are typically $12–$15 per meet and are separate from the season registration fee.

• California meet entry fees may be paid at the meet in cash.

Travel Meets

• All travel meets must be registered and paid for in advance.

• Coaches will communicate registration deadlines and payment instructions through TeamSnap.

Transportation, Meals & Lodging

• Families are responsible for their own transportation, meals, and lodging when needed.

• Additional travel information will be shared through TeamSnap as each meet approaches.

Mandatory Season Finale: Flagstaff, Arizona

The season finale will take place February 13–14, 2027, at Northern Arizona University at an INDOOR TRACK in Flagstaff, Arizona. Participation is mandatory for all team athletes. Of course if something comes up we understand. 

The team will make every effort to coordinate a shared hotel for families, if possible. Additional lodging and travel information will be provided through TeamSnap.

IMPORTANT FAMILY REMINDERS

Please review the following requirements before the season begins:

• Athletes must be at least 10 years old.

• Registration and payment must be completed before the first practice.

• Appropriate running shoes and track spikes are required. (we have some spikes donated)

• Athletes should dress appropriately for the weather.

• Meet entry fees and travel expenses are separate from the season registration fee.

• Travel meets require advance registration and payment.

• The February 13–14 Flagstaff season finale is mandatory.

• A current USATF membership is required for each athlete (due before Jan)

• Families must join the team on Athletic.net using the code 9J2YNCGFM.

• TeamSnap is the official platform for team communication.

• All registration fees are nonrefundable.
